17Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came from the throne in the temple, saying, âIt is done!â. Worship God!â, 10Then he told me, âDo not seal up the words of prophecy in this book, because the time is near. 18Still another angel, with authority over the fire, came from the altar and called out in a loud voice to the angel with the sharp sickle, âSwing your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of grapes from the vine of the earth, because its grapes are ripe.â, 19So the angel swung his sickle over the earth and gathered the grapes of the earth, and he threw them into the great winepress of Godâs wrath. 20He who testifies to these things says, âYes, I am coming soon.â Amen. 1After this I saw another angel descending from heaven with great authority, and the earth was illuminated by his glory. Revelation is a book that has been called everything from a hodgepodge of nonsense to a masterpiece. Scholars assign four basic schools of interpretation to the book of Revelation: The book of Revelation starts with “this is a revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants the events that must soon take place. 7But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will be fulfilled, just as He proclaimed to His servants, the prophets.â, 8Then the voice that I had heard from heaven spoke to me again, saying, âGo, take the small scroll that lies open in the hand of the angel standing on the sea and on the land.â, 9And I went to the angel and said, âGive me the small scroll.â, âTake it and eat it,â he said.
